This is an URGENT request.
Clarence Layne d. in Brooklyn, NY in Sept 1988, he is assumed husband to Elsie Layne, died same place in Sept 1984. It appears they had sons Larry J Layne and Michael Thomas Layne (b Dec 1950). It appears from ancestry that Larry J Layne also lived in Brooklyn in 1993/1994. If you know of, or can find, obits for Clarence or Elsie, I very much need to confirm that these are their sons, and particularly need CURRENT or recent location for Larry J Layne. IF we cannot find/ verify Larry as brother to Michael T. Layne, I would need further info about siblings to Clarence or Elsie.
I have worked zabasearch and peoplefinder, and ancestry.
My friends here know I am not asking lightly, there is a serious and immediate need for the info if it can be found. Location info for Michael is not needed, we have his present location.
Direct email welcomed... caldwell1949@yahoo.com
thanks for help and discretion.. info needs to go to proper channels to be handled.

Take this from a New Yorker: It seems that you have several college options in mind. Awesome! :) The cool thing is that you can live in EITHER Manhattan or Brooklyn and still be able to travel by train (subway) to any borough you'd like. I'm sure you want to be somewhere convenient, well, you have the best of both worlds. Just because you livein Brooklyn doesn't mean you have to go to school only in Brooklyn. Again, the train makes it easy to commute. It depends on what you can afford. I would look into applying with housing (you can live in a private home for as little as $500 per month including your utilities.) The wait list is long, so applying with the NYC Housing Authority ASAP. Even if you do not live in NY right now, you can apply to get a head start. Not crazy about the night life? No problem, again, wherever you live you can manage to find SOMETHING to do 24 hours a day :) Just a tip, Uptown (Manhattan) tends to be less costly if you do not live in housing, but Midtown and Lower Manhattan are $$$$... even for a little "room". Brooklyn is fun, and prices are comparable to Manhattan depending where you live. You just have to hunt for a good bargain... and I would recommend NOT living with a family and renting a room in someone's house. I would recommend you check out the NYC Craigslist so you can get an idea of the prices for rooms. Long Island is pretty cool, but it's a bit of a ways from NYC. If you did live in Long Island, you may have a more difficult time commuting to a school in the city... so you may limit yourself to just going to school in Long Island if you move there. Maybe also take a trip BEFORE you move out there. :) I know it's a lot of info, but I hope it helps :)

Your search is a bugger! I spent several hours last night to no avail, but perhaps my attempt this afternoon will give you more. I cross-checked Larry J. Layne and Michael Thomas Layne on Intelius.com. I think it gave me enough information to help you if if only just a bit. I've only included those listings that have the same Relatives' names and 'Previous Cities' in common.

The information I found for Larry is:

Name: Larry J Layne

Age: ?

Previous Cities: Brooklyn, NY

Date of Birth (available)

Phone Number (available)

Relatives: Clarence J. Layne, Elsie E. Layne, Michael Thomas Layne, and Hultman Michael Layne.

The information for Elsie:

Name: Elsie E Layne

Age: 83

Previous Cities: Brooklyn, NY

Date of Birth (available)

Phone Number (available)

Address: (available)

Relatives: Clarence J. Layne, Larry J. Layne, Michael Thomas Layne, and Hultman Michael Layne

The information for Michael Thomas:

Name: Michael Thomas Layne

Age: 57

Previous Cities: Brooklyn, NY and Bowie, TX

Date of Birth (available)

Phone Number (available)

Address: (available)

Relatives: Clarence J. Layne, Larry J. Layne, Elsie E. Layne and Hultman Michael Layne

Now here's where it gets interesting; the Intelius information on 'Hultman' - including age - is identical to Michael Thomas:

Name: Hultman Michael Layne

Age: 57

Previous Cities: Brooklyn, NY and Bowie, TX

Date of Birth (available)

Phone Number (available)

Address: (available)

Relatives: Clarence J. Layne, Larry J. Layne, Elsie E. Layne and Michael Thomas Layne

And just to confuse matters further (since Hultman is such an unusual name), I searched Hultman as a surname in Brooklyn. It probably doesn't connect, but just in case:

Name: [Female] Hultman

Age:

Previous Cities: Brooklyn, NY and New York, NY

Date of Birth (available)

Phone Number (available)

Address: (available)

Relatives:

So I'm wondering if 'Hultman Michael Layne' is actually Michael (Thomas) Hultman-Layne married (or formerly married) to [Female] Hultman? (I know, it's a stretch.) Finally through Reunion.com, their Public Information confirms that 'Hultman Michael Layne' is in fact Michael Thomas Layne.

I have sent you an email with the personally identifiable information that I've omitted here and I'll write again when (and if) I find more.

This is the most promising link I could find of a Larry J. Layne, and I only post it because he has been in New York, which is where the parents were. It provides no information that I can use to determine if this is him or not, but you may know.
